Casual Relief Teaching Overseas
Casual Relief Teaching Overseas
I am looking to move overseas for a couple of years and a friend told me that most agences pay about 130 pounds a day for a day of teaching. This doesn't seem like a lot. Can anybody clarify this?

UK Pay
Hi,
I did UK teaching in 2011, and depending on whereabouts you are living and your experience teaching and if willing to do Special Education the higher the pay. You can expect to be paid anywhere from 90 pound if just a new grad to 150 if have experience. Also remember to look around at various agencies as can shop around for better pay. I started out at 110 and ended up on 135. Also find ones that will offset any expenses to lower your tax (also known as umbrella companies). 130 is a good deal but if not happy as I say look elsewhere, but talk yourself up in interview to try get bigger money.
Hope this helps.
